Improve the Open and Save (generally the Files-related) dialogs for ALL NORMAL PROGRAMS with new features:it will be possible to automatically resize all that file dialogs - and as a result on a 1600x1200 or 1280x1024 desktop you will no longer be forced to "scroll 3 lines at a time" inside a tiny window which was initially designed for a 640x480 resolution (and even on that it was too small) - it is also possible to automatically select the type of view that you want, the sort type and sort order and it will be possible to have a history of recently-used files and folders - again in ALL the normal file dialogs.

"Download won't run"

wish I knew
Cons
Download (versions from cnet and xdesksoftware) said it installed but when I tried to run the program message said that the evaluation period had expired. Contacted both cnet and software company weeks ago and never heard back from either.
Summary
Wasted a couple of hours trying this.

"Indispensable utility for power user"
Version: XFilesDialog 4.0
Pros
Simple access method to select any data location to load / save files. Very flexible capability to display dialogue boxes - can be set to display any way, size, order. Can create favorite locations or just use recently used list.
Cons
After using a system with xfilesdialog, if I need to use another computer without this tool, it is painful to live with the pathetic standard windows dialogue boxes.

Just give it a try.
