You can dress this game up, but you can hardly get it into the ring to wrestle. While MDickie's Wrestling Mpire offers plenty of character-customization features, poor controls and miserable graphics barely make it a contender. The action of the game is straightforward: you train your wrestler to take part in matches with the goal of winning the cash prize. You can construct your ultimate wrestling machine with the game's ample character options (even choosing his clothes) but given the poor graphics resolution, the athlete resembles a brick wall more than a svelte wrestling star. The game's biggest problem aside from its poorly drawn world is its game controls. There's little guidance to show you how to take down your opponent, and none of the action is intuitive. While we were impressed with the more than 20 camera angles through which you can observe the action (or lack thereof), the angles don't help you move your character any more effectively. As a final blow, the program's hefty download (85MB) is hardly justified given the game's poor graphics. While wrestling fans might be able to overlook all these shortfalls, we weren't. MDickie's Wrestling Empire has plenty of tricks, but it's just not a whole lot of fun to play.Publisher's Description

"Best game MDickie has ever made"
Version: Wrestling MPire 2004 1.8
Pros
Although this is one of his first games, this is one of his best.
The background makes you feel as if you are really in an arena.
Better story lines then the latest MPire games.
Lovely fast graphics and much faster then Encore.
Smooth simple layout on the menu.Cons
Training screen to complex.
Making your wrestler can get a bit confusing if you are not used to the detailed layout.
The move set is pointless due to moves that you don't really use in the game.
The cheats may give the user a wrong idea of the game. Non of the cheats work on computers like Acer.
Can't edit your wrestlers stats.
Not a great range of clothing for the wrestler.Summary
Overall the game would not disappoint but if your more of a platform type of person the game would not at all be for you. This game is good for MD back in 2004 but it would never beat the original game that is 2D. But overall the game layout is very disappointing for a 2004 game but the sounds are very realistic.

The game may of started the MDickie revolution.
