Track your investment portfolio and view relevant stock-related news. The robust keyword system tracks relevant topics. Headlines can be saved for later viewing. The rich display options include the ability to choose a two- or four-pane mode, or select the TV-Ticker display mode, customize the fonts, select a color scheme, determine the speed of each scrolling pane, and select the sound of the optional vocal alerts. WorldFlash News Ticker Gold is low-bandwidth and corporate-network friendly.
Version M6.61 includes RSS functionality (users can add and manage RSS headline sources), and users can instruct the program to deliver the latest headlines for relevant stocks.

"I wish they were all like this one"
Pros: This program rocks! In addition to the regular newspapers, I've added my favorite blogs. I also track news about my industry, which is pretty obscure (anyone ever heard of GIS technology? didn't think so). All I had to do was create a search on Google news and insert the RSS feed into WorldFlash. Breaking news alerts for news and stocks are great to have. And, there is more....... I added my online RSS calender and I track Ebay search terms. As for the stock ticker - it is the best. Let's face it, I am not a day trader and I don't have the time to know everything. The fact that I can track corresponding headlines to each stock is a real winner. As if that wasn't enough, the company has great customer service. I can go on and on about the fact that this ticker is the most customizable product I've ever used. I really can't imagine my desktop without WorldFlash.

"News and information junkies, your search is over!"
Pros: I'm writing this review because I truly believe in WorldFlash Gold. Other than being a regular (unpaid or compensated) user of this product, I have no affiliation with the folks that make WFG. It has been running flawlessly on my computers for several years now, and nothing has even come close to the full functionality, customizability, and ease of use that this ticker/RSS reader has. I've tried them all, paid versions, shareware, and freeware. WFG truly stands in a class by itself!
The interface is very easy to work with, and the ticker is easy on the eyes -- right from the start. Its very clean look and feel makes it a real positive addition to your desktop. The sheer number and quality of news sources available make it a pleasure to read, and I personally get the majority of my breaking news from it. You can also set any word(s) to be flagged to call your attention as the ticker scrolls across the screen -- visually and audibly! The speed, colors, and font are also nicely adjustable.
So many things about WorldFlash Gold are easily customizable, that it would take a much longer review to detail them all, yet the computer newbie as well as the advanced user will find this product a pleasure to work with -- something that can not be said for other produces that attempt to do the things this does -- and does very nicely! The stability of the software is also great -- no funky coding here.
A very generous free trial of WorldFlash Gold is available for download, and your email address, with which you register the software, is not used to spam you. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've received email from the folks at WorldFlash in the last few years.
Makers of other news/info ticker software could only wish their's performed like WorldFlash Gold!

Pros: Joke aside, this is a really sophisticated tool. It is actually a news ticker and for those who like weather reaport, it is a choice too. But it is much more.
Cons: World news, all news, news junkies, RSS feeds, Stock tickers. Everything you need streams across your desk. Is like dim sum, and its all paid for. I think you can use it free for 3 months or more. Then you'll have to buy it, 'cause it's that good.
