Even though we could have done without the nag screen, this free disk cleaning utility performed very well during our tests. Even beginners will appreciate how easy it is to use.
When you first install Wise Disk Cleaner 3 Free, you're taken to the publisher's Web site for more information about the program. Each time we accessed Wise Disk Cleaner 3 Free, we received a nag screen asking if we wanted to upgrade to the paid professional version. It was easily bypassed, but became something of a nuisance. A helpful wizard appeared at start-up, and walked us through the disk cleaning process. First, you choose from a long list of file extensions to include in the cleanup. The next step is to select the drives or folders you want to clean, and choose from a list of cleaning options, such as deleting cookies and temporary files. The last step is to choose to run the program in either auto-run or manual mode, and whether you want the files permanently deleted or sent to your recycle bin. Once we went through the wizard, we were sent to the main user interface to click the Scan button. Considering the task at hand, the program worked extremely fast to pull up all of the junk files according to our specifications. It took a little time for the program to delete and send the files to the Recycle Bin, but we were able to continue working during the process.
Our test computer's performance noticeably improved after running the program. Users of all levels will find Wise Disk Cleaner 3 Free easy to use and effective, and the nag screen was a small price to pay for this freeware utility.

one-click does it all! And there's another tab for more advanced cleaning. Plus a third tab to remove some features in Windows that take up disk space but are no longer needed: such as the Sample Pictures, Music, Videos; the Windows Installer Cache; etc.
Cons
not many, NO NAG SCREEN now, in the newer versions, CNET you need to update your archaic review. And this baby does it all ..

As stated in the review section above, this neat FREE utility does it all. There is a 'pro' edition but the free program does most everything the average user might need. It's a free disk utility designed to help the user keep his disk clean and save space by deleting junk files. These junk files build up from defective uninstalls, Browser Cache, Windows temp-files, etc. Deleting these files on regular basis helps the user maintain a lean, mean system and save disk space. Wise Disk Cleaner, as the writeup says, has a very intuitive interface that helps the user quickly delete junk files. Very easy to use, scans the user's system thoroughly and at high speed, not taking up too much time. A++, excellent!
