Even though we could have done without the nag screen, this free disk cleaning utility performed very well during our tests. Even beginners will appreciate how easy it is to use.
When you first install Wise Disk Cleaner 3 Free, you're taken to the publisher's Web site for more information about the program. Each time we accessed Wise Disk Cleaner 3 Free, we received a nag screen asking if we wanted to upgrade to the paid professional version. It was easily bypassed, but became something of a nuisance. A helpful wizard appeared at start-up, and walked us through the disk cleaning process. First, you choose from a long list of file extensions to include in the cleanup. The next step is to select the drives or folders you want to clean, and choose from a list of cleaning options, such as deleting cookies and temporary files. The last step is to choose to run the program in either auto-run or manual mode, and whether you want the files permanently deleted or sent to your recycle bin. Once we went through the wizard, we were sent to the main user interface to click the Scan button. Considering the task at hand, the program worked extremely fast to pull up all of the junk files according to our specifications. It took a little time for the program to delete and send the files to the Recycle Bin, but we were able to continue working during the process.
Our test computer's performance noticeably improved after running the program. Users of all levels will find Wise Disk Cleaner 3 Free easy to use and effective, and the nag screen was a small price to pay for this freeware utility.

Wise Disk Cleaner, with its intuitive and easy to use interface, helps you quickly wipe out all the junk files. Using the program is indeed easy. It also works fast when both scanning for files and deleting files.
What's new in this version:
Version 4.64 fixes bugs in undelete mode, allows inputting file name in the exclsion list.

"Quickly cleans out temp, log, etc files; regular update"
Pros: Very quick at cleaning out temporary, log and other files that are no longer needed. Regular updates make you know that they are right on the ball. A great tool for your sytem maintenance arsenal.
Cons: Would like more info on the files that they by default chose to delete and those that they by default leave. Always better to know what is actually going on.
Summary: Get it along with Wise Registry Cleaner. Two great, fast utilities that do a terrific job and are updated very regularly.

"Misrepresented (Not So-Free) Software"
Pros: It cleaned up my registry errors just fine, doing everything a decent registry cleaner should do.
Cons: but I get just as good, if not better results out of free registry cleaners

"Cleans Disk and many other files"
Pros: This app did clean up my hard drive. It freed up about 20% of my available space.
Cons: Completely wiped out many necessary files, folders, settings, etc. Unfortunately no recovery feature. Basically, you're screwed if you run this program. Stay away. Wise support = $139 fee for annual tech support. BIG REGRET!
Summary: Run away as fast as you can.
