"Its Off To A Good Start!"

March 13, 2008  |  By ALP1987

 |  Version: Not Found

Pros

I installed it and it only took about 12 minutes not an hour like others have been saying. The reason i upgraded from SP2 to SP3 was because my DVD RW kept switching into PIO Mode rather than DMA mode. I had tried everything to fix it and i was just about to give up until i upgraded. After the install the computer restated and all my problems were solved. I'm saying it right now GET THIS! My computer has even been running better then it ever has with SP2. For this not to be the final version it still works great. I can't wait until the final SP3 version comes out.

Cons

I really cant' find a con. I have been using it over a week now and it works great.

Pros

No real difference in anything I can spot.

Cons

Possibly my laptop is slightly slower and my p2p is not working as well as it was but this may have nothing to do with sp3.

"Not quite...."

Pros

Nothing....

Cons

After it was installed, some blue screen came up on Restart with some text saying something about an error. So I had to Restart the computer, and do a PC Recovery. I don't recommend downloading the Release Candidate, wait till the full thing comes out.

"Takes an hour+ to install , like we have an option.Use a dld.app !"

December 21, 2007  |  By nasacouk

 |  Version: Not Found

Pros

1,USE a downloader application manager as it takes over an hour on broadband.

2,CREATE a restore point using Microsoft restore. There are no cosmetic changes as the changes to programs are only apparent in the last minute of the restart on a pretty basic command prompt that addresses each basic (and lets face it revamped a billion times better by others) windows component.

Cons

Nothing is obvious as Homer says "...so far. "except, The startup screen is under-sized for some reason. Takes over an hour to download even on broadband, plus add/remove programs install. and eleven minutes to restart. What don't I like? Well, if you have any other references OS wise, then please list your reference website chart of comparison, mate.
