Though this privacy application isn't as fancy as some competitors, it does help to stamp out the basics. Windows History Clean Helper's double-pane interface goes right to work displaying the drives for cleaning Internet temp files, cookies, histories, and Recycle Bin contents on the right and the scanning results from each area on the left. You can select the files you'd like eliminated by simply check-marking them accordingly. There's also an area for you to set your options and add, import, and export files, plus you can enter your own preferences for the files. Without a help file, however, using this feature is a bit hairy. Lagging behind more competitive programs, Windows History Clean Helper only works with Internet Explorer and doesn't support removal of any third-party application tracks. This stingy 10-use trial is OK for those needing basic cleanup, but users desiring a high-power solution will want to keep hunting.
