"Sufficient for viewing TV and taking screen captures."
Version: WinTV2000 4.7
Pros
Its free.
It comes with the pruchase of your Hauppauge TV Tuner card...PCI or USB.
It has an attractive interface.
It is quite easy to take screen captures.
Very fast and responsive.
Cons
Im unsure as to which version this is...old or new...whatever. But as far as I know the version Im running for my Hauppauge card neither supports remotes, TV recording, or timeshifting. They always say dont fix what ain't broke...so I doubt I will be trying this anytime soon to test it.
Screen captures arent directly written to file. After taking a picture on the TV, you have to manually choose to save it to file or risk losing it when you close the program.
