"Would be great - but no encryption and security - blunder"
Pros: Great app. easy to connect. Starts as a service but there are shortcuts in start menu to stop it and restart manually if needed. This is smart. Unobtrusive, server runs in background. Lightweight. Just type in the IP in the viewer app and you are connected with the other PC.
Cons: This simple freeware version has a major flaw. There is no SSL security and no encryption. It looks like you're sending passwords in plain text. Both are disabled in the free version. That's a blunder. Therefore I give this low rating. Without encryption this software is almost as badly unsecure as RealVNC.
I recommend other alternatives: Logmein, Remote Access Host, FolderShare, SSL Explorer (file access) or Remote Support System (admin).
Better also avoid RealVNC, Tight VNC, Utra@VNC.... Although VNC apps have advantages and are free, they can cause trouble if not configured properly. If you good admin tool have a look at Remote Administrator (Radmin).

Pros: i needed some way to spend time with my family becuase i was at the office all the time and by the time i get home its time to go to bed. this is free and easy to use. i set it up myself. i highly recomend it to anyone who needs something like this.
