Pros: can convert wmv mkv to avi and a lot more and its really fast to convert unlike some other programs
Cons: nothing I enter the serial number just search damn it and put it in and no watermark easy as H.e.l.l

"Converts a multitue of formats..."
Pros: Easily converts from one video format to another. Convert to output size is a nice option, so you always know its going to fit.
Cons: Needs a better help index for advanced options (which I recomend you use on every converstion)
Doesn't autocreate specified output folders

Pros: It uninstalled without any problems
Cons: I takes an hour an a half to render and when it's all done there's a tag over the video telling you to buy the full version. I realize they need to make money but I really wish they would have warned me before I waited.

"Works well and works quickly"
Pros: I needed something to convert mpeg2 videos to a format that would work on my Zen Vision W. I tried the Creative Video Converter, the integrated converter in WMP10 and WMP11, MediaCoder, Super, etc. None worked as well as WinAVI.
Using WinAVI was simple and allowed me to adjust the output resolution to best match my display. WinAVI produced consistently high-quality output files and worked much faster than any other program I tried.
Cons: The user interface is too simple for advanced users. Aside from adjusting the frame rate, output resolution and audio encoding bitrate, there are no other adjustable options.

"Great little converting tool"
Pros: * batch processing
* seems to support almost any format
* worked great with tivotogo (needed mpeg2 output)
* fast and easy to use
* demo was great (Note that the other rater complaining about the overlay is I think just complaining because they want FREE)
Cons: * videolan is a free tool that is similar but doesn't always work (which is why I bought this for tivotogo)
* probably won't ever have hardware accelerator support for transcoding
