Publisher's description
From Secure Computing :WebWasher consists of three functional modules: content filtering, privacy protection, and access control. WebWasher's standard filters prevent unwanted data objects on Web pages from being loaded. The Dimension filter filters unwanted advertising banners. New sizes can be added at any time. The URL filter activates WebWasher's integrated URL filter. You can add new objects for other URLs at any time by mouse click. You can set WebWasher to eliminate any pop-up windows contained on Web pages. It also suppresses the execution of scripts that are executed when Web pages are loaded or closed. In addition, animated graphics can be entirely eliminated. Alternatively, you can specify the number of repetitions of an animation or that only the first picture should be displayed. The shareware registration fee for this product is $29.00.

Version: WebWasher 2.1.1
"It Got My Computer All Out Of Whack"
Pros: None (see below)
Cons: I'd figured I give this a try because of all the useful cleanup features it supposedly has. After I ran it it, my computer froze up. Had to restart using the restart button. When it booted back up, my quick launch was gone, items were missing from my task bar, my desktop icons were all askew, the text size and font were all changed system wide, some of my programs got error messages before starting, and God knows what else. I'm going to have to do a Norton Ghost image restore now. Avoid Window Washer at all costs! Those people at Webroot should be tortured!
