This handy tool logs every visited URL by user and presents the data in easy-to-read logs. Web Explorer's neatly organized, sleek, and professional interface is but one part of this extremely user-friendly software. The simple sidebar menu holds just four buttons, Status, Settings, Register, and Uninstall. The Status screen has large buttons to start and stop monitoring, hide the program, and view the logs. The Settings is just as straightforward, with options to modify the hotkey combination, set up e-mail reports, and choose how long logs are kept.
Our only question was with the e-mail configuration window. The only empty field is labeled E-mail Address. The five fields for Sender Information are prepopulated, including the user and password, but it's an e-mail address originating from the publisher. It isn't clear why they use their own servers to send logs. Tests of the service failed to e-mail logs. We can only assume the publisher dropped the feature since there is no Manual or FAQ.
Monitoring is undetected with this app. When Web Explorer is sent into hiding it disappears from the Task Manager. It tracked all the browsers we tested, including the most popular tools Internet Explorer and Firefox. Logs are nicely designed to clearly show time, user, browser name, and URL. It's very easy to read the information, and simple to search the log for keywords. There's an easy option to print, but no way to export log data.
Our only disappointment was that the e-mail function didn't work, but that's offset by the fact this tool is freeware. Web Explorer gets the main job done very effectively. If you want to know where others are browsing, this helpful tool will show you.

All reports can be sent in real time to a specified email address or can be accessed from the application interface. For an easier search these reports have a Find Keyword option that allows searching a specific word. Web Explorer is not visible in Program Files and Task Manager so that the user doesnt know that he/she is monitored. Version 2.3 build 2.9 includes unspecified updates.

"Basic but works, no email monitoring"
Pros: Pros: Can be completely hidden. Does not show up in system tray, programs menu, or even control panel. Keeps a log of every URL visited, and every activity done on the computer (like if a program is downloaded, or if the history is cleared).
Cons: Cons: Cannot monitor emails or chat. The log will show you that the user checked his or her email, but you can't see a copy of the email. Also, you must remember the hotkey combination in order to unhide the program. Shows URLs only. If someone visits an URL and you copy and paste it in the browser, if the URL is broken or expired you cannot see what they did. You cannot see screen shots either.
