With its accurate forecasts and ingenious features, WeatherBug adopts a more personal and practical approach to weather reporting. This app makes sure you don't get wet or struck by lightning.
Complete and reliable: Apart from accurate hourly and 10-day forecasts and alerts for storms and other significant weather events, WeatherBug includes a Radar Map, a Storm Center, and plenty of weather- and nature-related content, so that it's more interesting than most weather apps.
Ingenious features: Spark, which shows you the nearest lightning strikes, and Lifestyle Forecast, which includes weather forecasts for Aches & Pain, Fitness, Gardening, or Pollen sufferers, are two unique features this app introduces.
Customizable: You can change the background image on the main page, rearrange the tiles with features, customize notifications, and even select the background refresh rate interval.
Performance could be improved: When running in the background, the app eats 64-75MB, which is a lot for a weather app. On the whole, the UI feels a bit laggy, too, probably because the app packs a lot of info on the main screen.
Tiny widget: The app widget looks too tiny and crowded on our screen. A redesign is needed.
WeatherBug offers complete weather reporting features, making it one of the best apps of its kind on Google Play. It's accurate and thus reliable, which makes it a great app to have on anyone's Android device.
