Publisher's description
From Ganymede Test & Measurement :Aimed at both the casual user and the serious archivist, Wave Corrector is a true WYSIWYG waveform corrector that automatically removes clicks, ticks, and pops from recordings of vinyl records. It also divides LP files into separate CD track files. Correction artifacts are kept to a very low level by a sophisticated algorithm that replicates the waveform underlying each click. Wave Corrector allows individual click corrections to be auditioned and edited (adjusted) for maximum fidelity. Corrections can also be manually inserted or removed. A graphical display overlays the corrected and uncorrected waveforms, so that they can be visually, as well as aurally, compared.
The program now processes tapes and cassettes, as well as vinyl source material. A range of digital filters, including hiss/hum/rumble reduction, have been added, and the user interface has been improved.
Note: In the unregistered version, only the first two minutes of the file are scanned for clicks, and only the first track of a multitrack LP can be saved. The cost to register is $45.
