"Same as BlueVoda But BlueVoda is FREE"

    November 25, 2011  |   By HumbleUser

    Version: WYSIWYG Web Builder 8.0.1

    Pros

Thank god for the trial because it not worth the buy.

    Cons

Crashs(loss of work), Some saved work doesn't reload, can't load HTML. THIS is a rippoff and should be free like BlueVoda or have a Beta lable assigned to it, so people can report the problems without getting abused or shafted.

    Summary

This is so out of date and 95ish and the spell errors and the docs the producers must be 3rd rate Mexican. I suppose $95 gets you 50 cut and past users reviews these days on site like CNET. If you really like this software get Bluevoda its free...

"WYSIWYG WEB BUILDER 7 Support... what support!"

    April 1, 2011  |   By threelionsseo

    Version: WYSIWYG Web Builder 7.6

    Pros

Budget software for building sites as a newby........

WARNING: not sutable to learn on!

    Cons

    - Support
    - users input on future changes is taken as an insult!

    Summary

its ok if you know how to use code but then you might as well buy/use dreamweaver!

The bottom line is that one of our developers tested this software so that we could teach new designers and encourage them to use the forum as a base for troubleshooting and knowledge expansion. The developer tried to contact support for simple resolutions and the replies were given from the "bear with a sour head" sole support guy/girl. not worth having our newbies waste their/our time on using this software.

its like any other software, its only as good as the support behind it, and as far as we can see, there is no support (worth having).

"I downloaded to build a simple Web site. It worked."

    October 25, 2010  |   By barrylev

    Version: WYSIWYG Web Builder 7.2.1

    Pros

The program rendered what I inserted where I expected it to be. The simple tools are easy to use. I don't need the more advanced features, so I can't comment on them.

    Cons

The manual is rife with typos and is otherwise cryptic in places.

Always works. The support is great. If you want a nice website and don't know a lot about web programming this is the "ticket."

    Cons

"If it ain't got it, I don't need it!"

    Summary

Jist a good product. Works as intended and no stalling on product support. It can do anything that I will ever want to do on a website.

    "Absolutely the Best"

    September 26, 2010  |   By Sam_the_Clown

    Version: WYSIWYG Web Builder 7.2

    Pros

    (1) All the tools you would ever need to design a professional looking web site, plus a lot more that are simply fun to explore.
    (2) The interface is easy to navigate, as it's logically laid out.
    (3) The included FTP program couldn't be any easier.

    Cons

    There are none

    Summary

The developer of this program has obviously given it considerable thought when designing it. I believe he or she has taken great pleasure in presenting a program that exceeds what is merely passable. While I was considering the purchase of another program prior to discovering this one, my decision was finallize after several days of exploring this software. This is the one! At first, the number of tools presented seemed a little overwhelming as where to start. Thankfully, there are enough online tutorials (video and text) that ease the confusion and point you in the right direction. The 30 day trial period is ample enough time for you to decide for yourself if this is the one for you.

"Forces you to do things the way the programmer wants."

    February 19, 2010  |   By davea0511

    Version: WYSIWYG Web Builder 4.2.2

    Pros

Downloaded and installed quickly so it didn't waste too much of my time.

    Cons

Wow - dumbed down to the point where it won't even let you just edit and existing webpage on your computer. It requires you to create a web-something or other - binder type thing, wherein your existing webpage will only cause problems.

    Summary

If you hate any kind of code and want a website in a suitcase, this is for you. Don't plan on editing HTML from any source though.

    "Great Program - MAJOR BUG!"

    February 3, 2010  |   By Talaska

    Version: WYSIWYG Web Builder 6.5.5

    Pros

Easy to use without the vast knowledge of writing script. Easy layout with the buttons at your disposal.

    Cons

When trying to set up a file for your images, the program wants to create another (duplicate) file with the same images in another file. You have NO control over this. The program will use either of the files. Makes uploading Hell and confusing!

    Summary

Great program, but spent many hours trying to figure out what images to upload from which file. I gave up because it's ridiculous to upload 2 image files when only needing one. When you are in the program, you can select which image and which directory where the image is from. After saving the site, it will change your file directory for some of the images which I hate about this program. You will end up with 2 image directories with the same images and not knowing which file the program is using and having to upload both files.

"Easy to use and with the numerous extensions very cool!"

    February 2, 2010  |   By THelwoode

    Version: WYSIWYG Web Builder 6.5.5

    Pros

Easy to use, Good website with tutorials. Great, friendly and helpful forum. People are writing new extensions for this nearly every day - see the forum. These allow you to add cool stuff to your website easily. Very easy to add photo albums etc

    Cons

You cant just click on a button and view the html like you can in Dreamweaver so people that like to alter the html directly wont like that. People who know little about html wont care.

    Summary

I have tried a load of webmaking programs and this is my favourite. I also have Dreamweaver which is about a hundred times more expensive but I prefer this.
To me its the free extensions that really make this program better than the competition. The thriving forum is also a major plus, ask anything you like.
