Viigo has certainly matured since its early days. While it now grabs weather, financial news, flight status, and sports scores in addition to your news and blog feeds, it's still, at its core, the fastest, most complete RSS reader for BlackBerry. To users' eternal benefit, Viigo makes finding, subscribing to, and adding your own newsfeeds extremely simple with a long list of presets, browsable categories, and a way to add favorite RSS URLs, even from aggregators.
The extra channels to track the weather, flights, and stocks are bonuses, and a testament to the extensibility of Viigo's original engine. Although not every channel works flawlessly (the audio podcast channel hasn't yet been released, for instance, and the politics channel is currently limited to the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Germany) the strength of Viigo's RSS reader absolves for the peccadilloes of a work in progress.

Version: Viigo for BlackBerry 3.1.324
"ran down my battery, overheated the phone."
Pros: very interesting configurable access to information, the concept is great.
Cons: It made my blackberry Tour overheat and run down the battery very quickly, even when I actively closed the program before putting the phone away (if I didn't, the overheating would be even worse). My phone couldn't last 1 day with a full charge.
Summary: When the full version is out, when it's out of Beta, I'll try it again.

Version: Viigo for BlackBerry 3.1.324
Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: The advertisment said it provided "Markets and Stock" information. Unfortunately that was the only reason I downloaded. The software does not have that category.

Version: Viigo for BlackBerry 3.1.324
Pros: Looks good. I especially like the weather feeds and the ability to track flights and packages.
Cons: Unable to organize, customise or sort feeds according to the users requirements. Can be slow at times. No indication on home page on which services have new entries. Some feeds, like sports, can be out-of-date. Minimal help information.
Summary: Contrary to what CNET believes, the RSS reader is weak, especially for a product that is up to Version 3. You cannot organize or customize the sorting of the feeds to meet your requirements - feeds are sorted alphabetically. If you have a lot of fee... read more >>
