From Red Kawa :Videora iPod Converter is a free iPod video converter that converts video files, YouTube videos, movies and DVD's so you can play them on your iPod. The software can convert all types of video files (avi, divx, xvid, flv, x264, vob, mkv, mpeg, DVD's, YouTube, etc.) into the proper video formats (MPEG-4, H.264) that play on the iPod. Version 3.07 added support for more subtitle formats and improved error reporting.

"Beeps loudly during conversion"
Pros: Free. Converts AVIs for iPods with no problems.
Cons: Beeps loudly every few seconds during the conversion. Which, since it often takes about as long as the show you're converting to complete, is VERY irritating. No setting to turn it off that I can see.
Summary: Not worth installing

"Interesting Idea, but not worth the trouble"
Pros: I liked the idea of being able to get free software.
Cons: It isn't such a great deal if it doesn't do what it says it can do. I was only able to convert the audio portion on the movie. Prior to that the conversion wasn't even accepted by iTunes. After numerous tries I gave up.
Summary: I would love to use the program, but I was unable to get it to work for me. The description told me I could convert DVD's that I owned to a file that could be uploaded to my iPod. I am going to keep looking and hope to find something that works fo... read more >>

Pros: Not enough to keep this program on my computer for more than thirty seconds
Cons: Advertising worse than IE on crack.
Summary: If you love being bombarded with advertisements while you convert, this program's for you. Watch out while you install if you don't want weird extras on your computer.

Cons: well what more of a con than backdoor trojan do you need ?
