From Red Kawa:Videora iPod Converter is a free iPod video converter that converts video files, YouTube videos, movies and DVD's so you can play them on your iPod. The software can convert all types of video files (avi, divx, xvid, flv, x264, vob, mkv, mpeg, DVD's, YouTube, etc.) into the proper video formats (MPEG-4, H.264) that play on the iPod. Version 3.07 added support for more subtitle formats and improved error reporting.

Pros: Simple easy to follow UI offers basic & advanced options depending on your knowledge.
Cons: Some of the files it converted wouldn't play beyond the first few seconds. Very heavy on system resources.

Pros: works well for ipod nano. converts files to .mp4
Cons: the youtube downloader doesnt work. i have to manually download my own utube vid. and some of the menus are webbased, so i dont think its possible to use this app offline

"Not the most user-friendly, not recommended for novice users"
Pros: Normal & Export Modes available, free, quick, clean installation & uninstallation
Cons: Memory intensive, buggy features (i.e. output file size estimate is incorrect), help file is not very informative, options are not very intuitive
