Verytools VideoSpirit Pro is a top-notch tool for editing, converting, and creating videos. With simple wizard-based operation and easy track management, VideoSpirit can quickly convert all kinds of files to play on your iPhone or other device. You can even use it to create video productions out of your own files and imagination. VideoSpirit Pro is free to try, but the trial version leaves a watermark on output files. We tried the full version.
VideoSpirit reduces video resolution during editing to maintain an acceptable speed and automatically restores full resolution when you're done, but the installation wizard explains how to change the program's Settings to keep the original resolution while editing. Creating video productions isn't exactly second nature, but VideoSpirit's intuitive interface goes a long way toward making the job as easy as possible, combining a browser-like start button, menu bar, and tabs with a player, settings wizard, and track list in a three-part video production console. We started by selecting the type of video we wanted to create from a drop-down list offering everything from basic file types like AVI and MPEG to entries for specific devices (HD, too). Then it was a simple matter of adding files to icon-coded tracks, including video, audio, images, subtitles, and voiceovers, and dragging each one into place along a uniform timeline in the track list window. Clicking lock icons locks down individual tracks when everything's just right. The preview window is large enough to be useful, too.
VideoSpirit Pro can convert files singly or in batches, and it has useful extras like a video frame grabber, a splitter, and a joiner. But we had the most fun creating videos. The Help file explains each function clearly; we recommend starting with the Pre-Production section, which describes how to add your files to the program's Library Room for easy access. The section entitled Starting a New Movie Project explains how it's done, including the way VideoSpirit saves changes to your Project but leaves your original source files intact. Whether it's fast Flash conversions or the next indie blockbuster, VideoSpirit Pro seems right for the part.

"An interesting product, and works well."

The product is working well and i'm pleased with it. I made a movie by adding a soundtrack to a video of my little girl, the output effect is so nice, my little angel was so glad to see it! She requires me to add some of her favorite cartoon songs to all of her videos, My God! we have hundreds videos for her since she was born...

Its clean, no annoying spyware/toolbars found so far.
Fast to work (including compatibility with WinVista_7 64bit)
Several kinds of video formats to convert and import.
Easy and intuitive use of tags.
Good quality video output.
In summary, when it does, it does perfect. It's quick and it doesn't use many computer resources. I just finished editing the video of our Halloween party with VideoSpirit Pro, it worked great and the output was excellent. Superb product.Cons

Fairly fast for my needs. Handles LARGE folders easily. Worth the money. Great product and support. Very few products are this well constructed & easy to use with responsive customer support via email.
Cons
The only think I dislike is that there's no "burning" function inside the software, even they offered me another free burning tool, I still prefer to have it inside the software as well.

I had never used an application like this becfore, but I was able to figure this out in a snap. Everything was so simple! And fun!
Overlay effects are very good, titles have almost any effect and design possible. It runns pretty fast and there is no delays for previewing. Very easy to edit on timeline. In summary, it is very intuitive.Cons
I can't think of anything I don't like at the point of writing, seems everything is perfect, except the full version is not free.

You get an easy to use video editor and a set of utilities (File Convert, Join and Split). The split function allows you to 1) select the bit you want with sliders, 2) split into a number of segments and 3) split into fixed length segments.
Cons
Better use could be made of the cursor keys, and a batch split function would be useful, it's a bit tedious splitting 100 files into 20 second segments! - each file has to be selected in turn.
Summary
Free to try, only limitation is a watermark on the edited video. I may be tempted to force my wallet open for this one!

Personally I think that VideoSpirit Pro is the best and cheapest video editor that u can Download on the cnet possible. For a work project, I took a VideoSpirit from my colleague, added my own music and titles, and saved it as an MPEG and the quality is fantastic! You can split the audio from the video if you want and boost the volume if your subject is quiet, there are several transitions for adding text to your video (zoom, fade, etc.) This product is fabulous and I wouldn't hesitate at all to spend the $59.00 for the full version if its as good as the trial version!

Personally I think VideoSpirit is an excellent video editing program for my needs. It's simple, easy to use, and makes home movies look professional. I was able to take a 20 minute home movie, cut it up, add a opening title, scrolling end credits over a still picture and text anywhere in the movie I wanted. I also found placing background sound into the clips easy. The transitions feature from clip to clip is also nice. You can also save your movie in several formats. I spent about 6 hours total over several nights continually tweaking my first video using VideoSpirit Pro and when I was done it looked almost good enough to put on television. My families were also extremely impressed with the way it turned out, and all of them require me to create a "movie" for them.
Cons
None, excellent! However suggest to include some good pictures and background musics into the software for our easy reference

VideoSpirit is quite good at allowing one to manage multiple clips and move them around as needed. The application is fairly quick and easy to navigate and there's an advance setting for those of us who are more familiar with video editer tools. Personally I think it's a worthwhile download for those who want to edit their videos, also includes conversions for iPad, Zune, Zen, and various other video and cell phone formats. If you need an excellent video converter/editor, you cannot go wrong with downloading this one.

This software loads up, runs, and works very smoothly and quickly with no glitches whatsoever. Overlay effects are very good, titles have almost any effect and design possible. Last but not the least, they have EXCELLENT customer service(via email)! I didn't know how to rotate the video, they created a video teaching me step by step how to do it.
