Version: ViceVersa Pro 2 build 2014
Pros: Best file transfer manager I've used. Works flawlessly.

Version: ViceVersa Pro 2 build 2014
"Versatile product for file backup and synchronisation"
Pros: I backed up my photo files manually by copying them onto an external drive. My original files were located on several drives.
Overtime, it became confusing as to which files were more current on which drives because I edited some of my backup photos.
With VVPro, I was able to see what the differences between my source (original) and target (backup folder) folders, and which files were more current.
Then I was able to synch them by using different techniques. I used the mirroring feature (source overrides backup) and consolidation (merger of source and backup) to get my files in synch.
This product provides great visibility and gives user control. Not that difficult to use if you read the help file. I am not a techie, but have a simple working knowledge of files and folders. I found the product simple to use for a lay person.
Cons: $60 is not a lot for this software, given it's features. But nowadays you need a lot of software for all kinds of things, and costs add up. Since this product only does backup, it seemed a bit expensive. Half that would have been a friendlier price. I would have given it 4.5 stars (because of the price) but they don't allow half star ratings.

Version: ViceVersa Pro 2 build 2014
"Good product: powerful folder comp-n; no file comp-n, UI can be improved"
Pros: I like the functionality ViceVersa Pro offers in the areas of folder comparison and synchronization, as well as scheduling. Folder comparison performance is also good, the stats are useful.
Cons: The user interface comes across overwhelming for the functionality it represents - many things on it claim the highest priority at the same time, the colors are bright and intense, the legend and the icons are no always intuitive. There is no integrated file comparison functionality - something I find important in the context of folder synchronization.
