Version: Vegas 6.0d build 210
Pros: This program is very professional, lots of effects, transitions and endless possibilities. It comes with the ability to render video in many formats and codecs. There is a preview screen and an advanced timeline for fine editing. In the end, work can be perfected to the very millisecond.
Cons: Quite overwhelming for the novice user, expensive program.

"Only video editing software you'll EVER need!"
Pros: I'm a huge fan of Sony's media software, and this is another slam dunk for Sony. Vegas is the ONLY thing you will ever need on a PC for video editing/creation. I use it to create music videos and it does everything. You also have a great range of rendering capabilties. AIFF, MPEG1/2, AVI, AC3, MOV, MP4, the list goes on. Great quality, and my computer only has 512 MB of RAM, so it's a little slow, but for 1GB and up users, this will do anything you need fast, and easily.
Cons: Unable to edit/open/render VOB movies.

Cons: Frusterating for a person just getting into the software. After a few examples you can easily navigate.

"Impressive interface, but trial version will not access mpegs!!"
Pros: The potential was impressive. Nice layout without being cluttered, color scheme well thoughtout.
Cons: Trial version would not allow access to any Mpegs files. When installing need to close any open applications. Wasted my time, nothing stated Mpegs trial version issues. 100 mb file with 30 day use and will not do Mpegs....
