Version: V - The File Viewer 9
"V The File Viewer is one of my absolutely must-have apps"
Pros: File management is a critical daily process for me. With both single and dual pane views, V either gives me all the tools I need, or easy access to 3rd party tools; you can use the mouse, but I prefer the easy keyboard access provided for routine tasks (for example, easily copy a file name or the file's complete path to the clipboard). Text or hex file viewing is a major strong point, including file tailing for log files. Integrated support for 4-DOS style file comments is a major plus. I could go on-and-on, but instead I strongly suggest downloading a copy and review the "Summary of Features" in the help file for a complete (and better) listing of everything it does.
Cons: There's only one thing I don't like about this program: it doesn't work on a Mac, and probably never will.
