Pros: not too hard to work out
Cons: a lot of advertising to upgrade to premium version
Summary: I also use www.ssw.com.au/ssw/Diagnostics which does a similar job

"Using the free version. Buy the premium and hope? MAYBE"
Pros: Provides a good, quick look at all your programs, their version status and the urgency of any needed version updates.
Cons: with the same info provided by other programs as secondary functions to their main purpose....it's not hard to immagine life without it...........or not?
Summary: It's not unusual to run "UPDATE STAR FREE" and find programs they have already been running the latest version available after being made aware by another source.
Maybe Premium version would correct that I don't know. -

Pros: Easy to uninstall.
Cons: DOES NOT report accurately. Software is scanned only according to ORIGINAL version installed on the date of installation. Also from the first scan one is pressured to BUY "better" products.
Summary: UpdateStar was a disappointment beginning with the confusing user interface, filled with useless, irrelevent information. I make sure my software is updated. I would have expected it to find everything up-to-date, or perhaps a program or two I misse... read more >>
