Publisher's Description
From UltraVNC:
UltraVNC is a powerful, easy to use and free software that can display the screen of another computer (via internet or network) on your own screen. The program allows you to use your mouse and keyboard to control the other PC remotely. It means that you can work on a remote computer, as if you were sitting in front of it, right from your current location.
If you provide computer support, you can quickly access your customer's computers from anywhere in the world and resolve help-desk issues remotely. With addons like SingleClick your customers don't even have to pre-install software or execute complex procedures to get remote help-desk support.

"Works great, has many addons, quick setup"
Version: UltraVNC 1.0.8.0
Pros
Easily setup, easily managable. Many addons that allow a great amount of customization.
Cons
None that I have really found in my use
Summary
Its free for one, and it works great for two. Go for it.

"UltraVNC fast, reliable access to remote computers"
Version: UltraVNC 1.0.8.0
Pros
UltraVNC is free. UltraVNC offers all the advantages of the paid VNC version. For LAN computers, it is fast. It can be used to remotely control computers over the Internet, and offers computer or Internet access of your home computer.
Cons
UltraVNC can cause lockups when using some utilities on a remote computer.

"Free and works well most of the time but buggy"
Version: UltraVNC 1.0.8.0
Pros
Free (always a plus). The Ultra setting renders the screen pretty fast, but really need to be on a local network. File manager is handy when want to copy files from/to host and remote.
Cons
The Auto mode doesn't always connect successfully. Sometimes it will connect but will crash while screen rezzes. No color depth setting between 256 and all colors (millions).
Summary
I wish it had more flexibility to adjust color depth with throughput so can have more than 256 colors but less than 16 million to increase refresh rate but still look acceptable. The file manager feature is reminiscent of a graphical FTP program. I wish the the file manager would accept drag and drop.
I often have to alternate between Auto and Ultra mode a couple times before the client will connect to the server. But still, of the free VNC programs I've tried, I like UltraVNC is the best. -
"Works with Windows 7, but not well with OSX"
Version: UltraVNC 1.0.8.0
Pros
Loads and works fine with Win-7. See cons
Cons
Does not allow for consistent connections when remoting to a MAC running OS/X 10.6. Get a prompt to enter my password, then right back to my desktop.
Summary
Great for the price, there are some drawbacks with the product at its current release level. Overall a fine product, for home use. I could recommend this for enterprise use yet.
