Version: UltraEdit-32 11.10a
Pros: Ultra Edit is just an amazing text editor. If you are like me and prefer to use notepad rather than any fancy code editor, you will love this software. It has many sophistated find-and-replace features such as searching for special characters.
You can also view your particular code type in the color coded format. Very simple to use.

Version: UltraEdit-32 11.10a
Pros: I used it everyday. I have been using it for over three years. Before I started using this I tried over eight different editors. This editor did everything I wanted. I even learned a few tricks to help me work better and faster.
I work with VB, FoxPro, SQL and html all day. Having an editor that allows me to work with all at once is great. Being able to see all functions / procedures in a progam at once is great. Having projects, searching in a project for items is a great plus.
I have a number of macros that saves me a great deal of time. One example is when I have to embed a SQL into FoxPro. The SQL must be a string just line in VB. I have some SQL's that are over 100 lines long, so having a macro that will add the quotes, semi-colons and hd_sql variable to a sql is great. The macro takes a few seconds while doing this by hand takes about two to five minutes. I also have a macro that will reverse the above.
The regular expressions is great also. I had to help someone take a list of names and addresses (on multi-lines with the field names) convert it to a single line (iwthout the field names) and pad the fields to certain lengths. A simple regex did this in a few seconds for about 10000 addresses (over 20 meg file). They were prepared to have someone rekey this, but I knew I could do this in a few minutes. They were realy suprised I did this in a few seconds.
I have also used this to fix fixed-width files to import into a database that have file sizes of over 100 meg. This take a few minutes but it would have taken hours or days to do this by hand.
I have a number of templates so when I need to start a new program I click the template to create a new program This buids the standard code I used for all progams. I also have a number of procedures as templates (i.e. connect to a database, create a new procedure). This saves a lot of time and allows all programs to be the same.
Cons: No complaints.

Version: UltraEdit-32 11.10a
Pros: I would agree to dallen39283 - UltraEdit is great. However, I'm still using Version 8.00 for years, which does everything I want to do perfectly.

Version: UltraEdit-32 11.10a
Pros: I call this my "vi for Windows." It is a great Editor and it feels great to use. Personally, I use it to edit HTML files, write text files, and edit C/C++ codes from my unix account.
I think everyone should buy it.
