Publisher's description
From JDMCox :USAPhotoMaps enables you to automatically download USGS 1-meter and 8-meter aerial photos, and 4-meter topo maps from Microsoft's Terraserver Web site, and creates a contiguous map from them. You can scroll it, view it at 4 levels of magnification, mark waypoints, center the map on any waypoint or latitude/longitude, see the distance and direction to a waypoint, and see the current latitude/longitude. You can make as many maps as you want. If you have a GPS, you can see your current location (updated every second), and transfer waypoints, tracks and routes to/from it.
Version 2.55 changes the Goto Waypoint routine so that if a waypoint you select to go to is in a different UTM zone, and there's a waypoint file in that UTM zone that has the same name as a Map Location in that UTM zone, you're given the choice of keeping the current waypoint list or changing to the new UTM zone's waypoint list (and Map Location name).

Version: USAPhotoMaps 2.55
"Works as advertised. Easy to use. Addictive."
Pros: Easy interface to learn and automates the access to Microsoft's Terraserver aerial photos and topo maps. Easily accepted tracks from my Garmin Gecko 201 GPS. I've spent hours just downloading and viewing the aerial photos from throughout the USA as entertainment. It's addictive. A broadband connection works best, but 56K is OK. The product is free but the author accepts donations. I gladly donated.
