Mobile blogging satisfies the incessant need for insatiable bloggers on the go. To that end, TypePad Mobile is essential for subscribers to TypePad's blogging service. The free app makes adding and publishing blog posts as easy as your smart phone's keyboard allows you to type them. We like the intuitive camera icon that launches the phone's camera from within the app and makes photos blog-ready. Camera and photo preferences, which you access through the device's soft key, adjust photo quality, size, and default settings, like dropping each photo into a new post.
Updating your live blog is one benefit, but TypePad Mobile sadly lacks an obvious other--managing your blog's content offline. This version doesn't let users edit posts that have already been published, and only stores posts that have been locally generated on the device. In the future, we'd like to see two-way communication between TypePad.com and the mobile app. Until then, mobile bloggers will need to take extra steps to correct and update already-published blogs, but that doesn't detract terribly from what is otherwise a fine blog updating tool that's easy to use and could cut your phone's WiFi bill to boot.
TypePad is the premier blogging service for professionals, hosting many of the worlds most popular blogs and small business Web sites. TypePad's ease of use enables you to create a blog in minutes.
