Publisher's description of TweakNow RegCleaner Standard 3.0.1
The Registry is the heart and soul of any Windows system. It contains information that controls how your system appears and how it behaves. When you install an application, new Registry entries will be created. These entries automatically will be deleted when you uninstall the application. Unfortunately, this process does not always work. Sometimes, some applications fail to remove their own Registry entries. These entries become obsolete. After a long period, after you install and uninstall a number of applications, your Windows Registry will contain a large number of obsolete entries. This will significantly increase the Registry size and slow down your computer, because Windows will need more time to load, search, and read data from the Registry. To keep your computer at top performance, it is recommended you periodically clean your Windows Registry.
Version 3.0.1 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.

- Version reviewed: TweakNow RegCleaner Standard 3.0.1
This excellent freeware utility makes the potentially daunting prospect of cleaning your Windows Registry safe and simple. The interface is spare and straightforward, and most users will probably only need the Scan and Remove buttons.
The settings are configured for immediate use, although you may exclude some Registry branches and references to removable drives from the scan. The default Beginner mode only displays items marked safe to remove, and the Expert mode makes clear which ones aren't. In case something goes wrong after deletion, you can quickly restore the removed keys.
In our tests, the utility found and removed hundreds of junk entries in minutes, making it a worthy download for almost any home user, especially those who are less technically inclined.

Version: TweakNow RegCleaner Standard 3.0.1
"This is a good registry cleaner."
Pros: This registry cleaner is best when using the custom and expert mode.
It has a fast scan, and it found 260 registry problems that were safe to delete.
It shows all safe to delete registry problems in green, not safe to delete in yellow, and unknown to delete in blue.
If you want you can do a deep scan on the unknown registry problems, read them and if you dont need all of them, you can delete some of the unknown registry problems.
It also has a restore feature so you can restore deleted keys if you are having any problems.
Cons: It doesn't find all registry problems, so I open my registry editor to manually remove what tweak now reg cleaner misses.

Version: TweakNow RegCleaner Standard 3.0.1
Pros: This registry scans ten sections of the registry. It has a fast scan and found 321 safe to delete registry problems. It gives good details about the registry problems that it finds. I deleted all 321 registry problems but they were backed up. So I opened restore now and clicked the back up then clicked delete. And it made a noticeable difference in performance of my pc.
Cons: The unknown registry problems should be disregarded.

Version: TweakNow RegCleaner Standard 3.0.1
Pros: It is very good on my XP Pro PC, it can take up to only 20 seconds to scan the full registry for errors, after it finds the safe to remove errors, removing them is completely safe, if removing something causes an error, just goto the restore function and recover it
This is a lot safer than PCTools registry mechanic but it finds less problems
Cons: Speed of the deep scan to check the unknown items is slow

"Basic, simple registry cleaner."
Pros: This application has a nice, user friendly, large GUI. It scans fast in both beginner and expert mode. In beginner mode, it found no errors, in expert mode it found 398 errors. All of these were identified as unknown, which is fine. It shows me that with complicated software installed, it uses caution. It's free and runs great with "Vista". This is a good program, provided you have no complicated software installed.
Cons: I have complicated, expensive software installed. In expert mode it found 398 errors, all in these two applications. "Tuneup Utilities 2007", my regular registry cleaning program that I ran after, there were 13 errors. Not meaning to call this a bad application, but I guess you get what you pay for.
