It has a simple, easy-to-use interface, fun sound effects, and an encouraging cartoon mascot who helps guide children as they use the program. It provides a blank canvas and a variety of drawing tools to help your child be creative. Tux Paint has been translated into over 45 languages. An optional 'Rubber Stamp' collection provides over 200 images which can be pasted into pictures, to help jump-start the creative process. A configuration tool for parents and teachers allow Tux Paint to be adjusted for a child's or school's individual needs.

"great paint program for kids"
Pros: small size and very easy to use kids 3-7 will love this, tons of different tools and brushes

Pros: Can set size of drawing area.
Can set for full screen so you can leave the child, or teenager, alone with Tux Paint, as windows toolbar disapears.
You can set to draw using any mouse buttons, rather that only the left click, for younger children.
My friend's Kids love it, as does another friends kids. I stumbled on this on Linux and didn't think it was available for Windows. Top Class Work. Be sure to download the addon pack installer giving you loads more Art Stamps.
Cons: You will have to buy another computer, as your kids won't let you anywhere near that computer.
