To call TuneUp Utilities 2009 useful would drastically understate the situation. The app provides users with a powerful, well-designed utility that accesses the entire Windows maintenance tool set and more in a fast, organized, and easy-to-use series of connected modules.
Temp file management, registry cleaners and start-up program controls are the bread-and-butter of these utilities, and these basics work in TuneUp more quickly and easily than most. However, the app also sports great add-on tools you don't usually see in a utility program. It offers a variety of Internet and program-acceleration tweaks as well as Windows performance enhancers. The crash-preventing MemOptimizer, a file shredder, deleted file recovery, and a respectable uninstall utility round out the suite. You even can automate maintenance tasks with the scheduler or tweak Windows' appearance with the styler tool. The built-in RescueCenter can restore all changes completely or one by one.
The system-analyzing wizard, with its thorough reporting and upgrade suggestions, is worth the program price alone. Between the guts of steel and the stylish, logically arranged interface, TuneUp Utilities suits all users--from complete beginners who will appreciate the one-click optimization to more daring users who will experiment with all the settings.

Pros: Can handle many tasks such as: Defragmentation, Disk Cleanup, Registry Defrag and cleaner, Beautify Windows, etc

Pros: Some utilities is good if you don't use IE8
Cons: This softwaremaker has no technical support, your mail will never been answered.
Summary: The company tell the buyers how happy they are to support you. But there is no support, and the price is too high for what this software could do.
Do yourself a favour, save your money and use Cclean instead, it's free! -

"NO AFTER SALES SUPPORT WHATSOEVER!!"
Pros: Easy to use and several handy gizmos
Cons: Support totally non-existent. The only time you will hear from them is when your license is due for renewal. Fails to clear certain registry errors and does not recognise presence of certain 'name-brand' AV products & gives false warnings.
Summary: Lots of glitz & glamor with this product but when the tyre hits the road, it does not deliver. It failed to repair registry errors that were tackled by two other cheaper products. Think twice before you buy this and certainly DO NOT consider if ... read more >>

"Absolutely NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT"
Pros: Seems to diagnose problems/issues with PC to make it more efficient
Cons: Program does not offer a way to resolve "critical" issues. FAQs do not address problems, and the manual does not offer solutions. Calling tech support at 312-962-9996 is an absolute waste of time.
Summary: Worthless if I cannot get tech support to help me fix the "critical" issues it found.
