"I did a 9,000 song library easily in a couple hours!!"
Version: TuneUp Companion 2.2.0
Pros
Accuracy---it is demanding on your system but the end product reigns supreme!
Cons
The Fact that you either have to purchase or bundle to get album art.

"NEW VERSION 2.4 is FANTASTIC"
Version: TuneUp Companion 2.2.0
Pros
Fast, accurate, brings in artwork as well as all the title, artist, year and other info.
New version has fixed ALL the known issues I had. DO NOT base your purchase on any other version, the old one actually was weak in a few areas but this is fixed. I have a 24,000 song library and this is now much faster for all operations.
LOVE IT!Cons
Version 2.4.0 seems to be near perfect.
Summary
I have used TuneUp Pro for the last three versions. Yes, it had problems before but it was still worth it. Now it seems they have worked out all the bugs and it runs like we all wanted! Very pleased. I have a fairly large library of 24,000+ songs. Now there are no slowdowns anywhere in the various situations or scenarios like the old versions.
Ver 2.4.0 is great - I HIGHLY recommend now. -
"One of a kind"
Version: TuneUp Companion 2.2.0
Pros
There is no other application I have found on the market that does what TuneUp does. The only alternative is cleaning your library by hand. Which means looking up tracks, labeling, finding duplicates, and I'm not eve sure where you would begin on the cover art.
Cons
Can be slow processing, and can crash, best to do in small doses
Summary
If you don't dare attempt to clean your library by hand this app is the way to go.

"Cover Art, De-Dupe, and Labels"
Version: TuneUp Companion 2.2.0
Pros
I have a lot of downloaded music in my library a.k.a. a lot of songs with no titles, no covers, and some duplicates I don't know about because many of the songs are untitled. TuneUp first labeled all my songs, then got rid of all my duplicates, and added cover art to all my downloaded songs.
Cons
A few of the songs were labeled incorrectly and some of the cover art was off. I broke the library down into smaller parts to speed up processing.
Summary
If you have a junky looking library this is the software for you.

"Pure Rubbish"
Version: TuneUp Companion 2.2.0
Pros
I tried nearly all 'music matching' services, couldn't find one that's good. And oh, money doesn't matter to me.
Cons
- Extremely slow
- Expensive
- Inaccurate
- Works with commercial collection discs, and gives commercial names to it. A correct 'Dr. Felix' will be replaces by 'Various Artists' (this will be the case for 70% of their 'matches')Summary
Poor program. To avoid. Same goes for all other automatic mp3 tagging programs.

"Super Time Saver"
Version: TuneUp Companion 2.2.0
Pros
- Elliminates your duplicate tracks (only missed a few of mine)
- Adds Song Titles/Artists/Album (again, I was surprised at the accuracy)
- Adds Cover Art (Less accurate than the other two features but still pretty cool)Cons
- Takes longer to run that I expected
- Occasional errors in song/duplicates
- Can crash if you select too much music at a timeSummary
This organized my iTunes with little effort required from me. Manually removing duplicates and listening too/looking up song titles/album titles/artists is a huge time suck. TuneUp really saved me a headache. I think I would have made more mistakes looking up and labeling songs by hand than TuneUp did automatically.

"TuneUp Gold's "lifetime" upgrade...ISN'T."
Version: TuneUp Companion 2.2.0
Pros
App works fine; filled in the blanks that iTunes had.
Cons
Slow and buggy. Worse than that, after buying a "lifetime" Gold license, the company added a "DeDuper" to the application and offered 25 demo "dedupes"...after which "lifetime" members could pay more money for additional "dedupes." Other software is out there...BUY IT INSTEAD.

"Finally made my iTunes library look legitimate!"
Version: TuneUp Companion 2.2.0
Pros
For the past half a decade I have been adding to my library from all sorts of websites and even old mix CDs. This has resulted in lots of duplicates, songs that are virtually impossible to find since they are improperly labeled, and maybe one out of every ten songs actually has an album cover associated with it. TuneUp was able to get rid of virtually all of my duplicates, and add song titles and album covers to probably 90% of my library.
Cons
It took a little while to go through my whole library, which I guess is understandable. I did have it crash on me when I tried to do my whole library at one time, but when I broke it down into smaller chunks I didn't have a problem. Like I said in the pro section, it got rid of almost all my duplicates, but it still did miss a few and messed up on some of the cover art.
Summary
If you are kind of OCD like I am and the fact that your library isn't organized eventually starts to bug you then this is worth your $40. You have to be patient, and break it down into small segments to avoid crashing. The end result is a lot of saved time and a library that you can actually find all those "hidden gems" you downloaded years ago and totally forgot about.

"One of the better music organizing apps"
Version: TuneUp Companion 2.2.0
Pros
This is a great iTunes plug-in that is easy to use and works just as advertised. It was able to clean and organize my music collection, remove duplicates, and find missing cover art really well.
Cons
It's a bit slow when starting up and has some issues accurately recognizing box collections and compilations (which I know is not entirely their fault).
Summary
TuneUp is probably one of the better music organizing products that I've come across. In the past, I've given other services like Tidy Songs and Rinse a shot, but none have ever seemed to come nearly as close to TuneUp.
I was actually quite surprised with what the Clean feature was able to do with my collection. I understand that the program gathers information from the Gracenote database, which is pretty extensive. I have a lot of classical music, and TuneUp was able to find the information for a great deal of them. Of course, the results weren't always accurate, particularly when it came to my box collections. However, it did a good enough job identifying most of my music.
I don't really understand all the issues of crashing. If you're trying to process your entire library, I could see someone running into problems. TuneUp works well when you put a few songs in it at a time. I myself like to drag and drop either per album or per artist. That seems to do the trick.
I also find the Concerts features very handy, as well. I like to keep up to date with latest shows that are happening near by, so it's great to have that extra info right there.
My music library is a lot better off than it was before. It beats filling in all that missing and incorrect metadata manually. -
"Amazing Music App That Works Like a Charm"
Version: TuneUp Companion 2.2.0
Pros
Gets the job done; simple and effective; friendly user-interface; has multiple features that takes care of all my music organizing needs and more.
Cons
Like others have said, it can be rather slow when processing a huge number of songs, but works just fine when processing in increments of 500 songs or less.
Summary
My library was a complete, utter mess before I happened to come across this wonderful product. I have a library of about 7,000 songs, all coming from a variety of sources. A good number of my songs come from mix CDs that friends have given me, so you can imagine how many track 01's and missing information was littering my library. I actually didn't know how messy my library was until I used the Analyze feature. Very useful tool.
I was very impressed with the Clean feature. It did a great job with filling in most of the gaps. I didn't expect it to be 100% accurate, especially with my more obscure songs. Also, every database has its limitations. The Cover Art feature is amazing, as well. Before, I would manually copy and paste images from Google, which gobbled up a lot of my time. Cover Art is able to retrieve a number of album covers just like that, and you are able to choose which ones you want to use.
Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of TuneUp. It saved me the hassle from having to tag all the missing and inaccurate info myself. For a while, I had been searching for a tool like TuneUp that would be able to organize my music in a drop of a hat, and I think it's safe to say that my search is finally over.
