With Trend Micro Internet Security 2008, you need only to provide your e-mail address to activate the full function 30-day free trial.
Once installed, the protection provided by Trend Micro is good. The two-way firewall blocks Internet threats, while scanners remove viruses, spyware, and rootkits. The interface is clean and intuitive, with configuration settings accessible for more advanced users. The suite includes additional tools to identify legitimate Wi-Fi hot spots (Wi-Fi Advisor), parental controls, Internet Web protection, home network protection, and even a system tune-up diagnostic (System Tuner).
Trend Micro provides free telephone, e-mail, and chat technical support, which is important since the online technical support information for Trend Micro Internet Security 2008 is not that good. Not only does Trend Micro lack a Getting Started PDF, but there is no manual and far too few knowledge base articles. Removal is clean: we found no traces of Trend Micro Internet Security on our system after reboot.

Version: Trend Micro Internet Security 17.10
Pros: Actually finds finds viruses (unlike McAfee) , doesn't need to be updated everyday, good priced.
Cons: Slows down computer when running a scan, and it is a little bit of a wait when starting up my computer it has to load.
Summary: This is probably the best anti-virus you can buy. So far my computer has had only one virus get by in the course of 3 years. I had McAfee for a week and had Malware on my computer. So I can say this is a good anti-virus in my book.

"Not worth it!!!!! Buy a different program."
Pros: I don't have any positive comments.
Cons: Annoying pop-ups
Allows viruses to get through
Allows unwelcome users to gain access to networkSummary: This software makes a lot of promises but does not deliver. The functions of the program simply do not work. An outside computer keeps connecting to my network and it will not allow me to block it! I hit the "do not trust" button a hundred times to ... read more >>
