Though sufficiently simple to use, this compact ring-tone program is tone-deaf to the needs of more experienced users. ToneThis lets you download songs or clips of songs as well as images to your cell phone through the Internet. The basic interface allows you to browse files for digital audio files or images, then quickly uploads them to the program. For music, you can choose a portion of a song (represented as a wave form) and then download it to your cell phone. Images work the same way. Yet we're disappointed that outside of "clipping" audio tracks, ToneThis offers no editing tools. What's more, be sure your cell phone is WAP-enabled; all files are transmitted over the Internet, rather than uploaded via cable. ToneThis also works with many operators and in many countries, but not all--be sure to test the software before you buy. Our biggest disappointment was the program's trial limitations; with only one upload allowed, it's impossible to test both the audio and image capabilities of the software. stopped working , no longer got ads for anything, locked up when loading ringtone to server. Uninstalled and reinstalled no help. Tried 2nd PC no help

Apparently the software has been abandoned by the developer, he's not respponding to tech support requests from free or pro users. A good program dies from lack of support

"Almost Perfect"

Pros
Easy to use (unless you are not computer literate), not only does it convert your mp3's to ringtones, it sends them to your desired phone number(s)/phone(s).
Cons
It does not support ALL carriers (i.e. Metro Pcs, Boost, Cricket), nor does it support ALL makes/models (i.e. Samsung Code, the latest iPhone).
Summary
It's near perfection. If it would only broaden it's support of carriers and certain models from some manufacturers, it would be superb!
The software is as easy as they come. Other than a few typos and simplistic language usage in this software, it's very solid. Besides, I didn't download 'Tone This' to correct it's spelling and grammar. I downloaded it to convert, customize and send ring tones, which it does seamlessly and effectively, in a short amount of time. You would have to be a half-wit to not understand how to use this software (not to mention it includes a .readme file that most people are too lazy to look over). Pretty decent and fail-proof.
So easy, a caveman can do it! ;-P -

I was so happy this works. I have made a ton of ring tones already. This is my first time actually wanting to get back and write a review. It is super easy to use. as soon as i hit the finish button it was sent to my phone literally within seconds. I don't know about the video part yet but if it is as easy as the audio you will love it. I absolutely would say to download this it is a great program for taking the aggravation out of converting and sending ringtones to your cell phone! Thanks for making this free too!
