The concept is simple: Calculate tips quickly from your mobile phone. Tipster does just that in a single, attractive screen, and also throws in a field for splitting the cost evenly among parties from two to 10. Weirdly lacking is a way to enter the percentage into the tip field--calculations are limited to 5 percent increments, from 0 to 30 percent. The field for entering the bill total has also been strangely implemented, not as a blank slate, but prefilled with zeros. Don't make a mistake or you'll have to input the total again, a minor annoyance in an otherwise useful app.
