"The Cnet download is not latest release didn't work!"

Pros
After downloading latest release from TightVNC web-site it worked immediately and is absolutely brilliant. I am now able to use my old computer without its monitor directly from my new computer as if I was sitting in front of it.
Cons
There is nothing to dislike about this product so far but I have only had it for a few days so perhaps too early to make a judgement.
Summary
Not only does it provide control of my old computer so that I can avoid transferring all my data but this wonderful product is free! Thoroughly recommend it.

Pros
If you have a windows machine that doesn't come with terminal server, this will give you access to the desktop. No ads or spyware included.
Cons
No audio. If you have applications on the desktop that require sound forget about it. Anything using video will not refresh fast enough to be watchable. If you have files you can transfer them to your computer but don't play them on the desktop.
Summary
Good for office but not so good for home.
