This freeware application inserts a TIFF image into existing files, but beware of its programmatic inconveniences. Although dull, Tiff Inserter's interface is easily comprehensible. TIFF images may consist of multiple images or pages placed together, and you can easily select the page where you want to insert them. The program works swiftly with small TIFF files.
For large files you'll need to select the slower Garbage Collection option to smooth the insertion process. However, you can't select TIFF files within a directory. Tiff Inserter places the image in all TIFF files within a specified directory. Another inconvenience is the inefficient handling of multipaged TIFF files. Tiff Inserter will insert only the first page of a multipage TIFF into each chosen TIFF file.
It's offered at no cost, but users may want more flexibility than this limited tool offers.
Publisher's description
From Compact :This program lets you pick a directory that contains the target file(s), lets you select an image to insert and gives the user the opportunity to insert the TIFF image at a specified point within the file. The GC option is to use the garbage collection function, which is useful for large directories where the RAM soon runs out.

Version: Tiff Inserter 1.0
Pros: It is a simple interface, and does exactly what it says - inserts a tif image into a multi-page tif file, at the page that you specify
Cons: You can't specify a single tif file into which to insert the new tif - you can only specify a directory. This util (presumably) then inserts the new image into every tif file in that directory (I can't verify this, cuz I've only tried it with a directory with one multi-page tif file in it).
