Version: The Ultimate Troubleshooter 4.64
Pros: Only used it to manage my Start Up Programs and for information on running programs. It was convenient, that's all. Since I stopped using it (see below) I have found much better ways to do the same thing anyway
Cons: The most appalling service I have ever struck for a software product; so bad I felt compelled to write my first ever negative review. I paid to renew my subscription and despite being promised a Key didn't recieve one. I wrote to support and also filled in their support request form on their site at least 4 times and recieve no reply to anything. So I moved on with my life.
Three months later out of the blue an email that said; quote " As for our non-reply to your emails - apologies for this, we had internal "reconstruction" issues for three months and were not able to cope."
Emails went back and forth (usually with weeks before responses) and each time they're asking me the version of TUT I am using, "go to Help>>>About". Of course I can't tell them because it won't start (no key, get it?). But they don't understand that. I asked for my money back at least four times and they did not respond.
Bottom line...the support people have no idea about the product and they're rip-off merchants anyway; don't touch them!

Pros: Specific directions for how to handle each file so you always know exactly who created the file, what program it is part of and how to handle any problems.
Cons: Lack of support; Services function freezes program and computer; housekeeping task check-off list is annoying
Summary: The greatest feature of TUT (The Ultimate Troubleshooter) is that it provides customized instructions for each known file. Almost all other similar software does not; they leave you to figure out what the file is and how to handle it all on your o... read more >>
