This program provides a wealth of information on running processes and applications to help you identify and remove unwanted programs. TaskPatrol Personal's standard interface displays currently running processes with details that include the process ID, file size, and a security rating. Select an entry to view a security analysis, DLL components, and performance information. Task Patrol Personal indicates if a process or program has Microsoft approval and shows details like the file path and publisher. In addition to these details, the program offers an optional Quick Help window that provides more information and helpful advice that's written so most anyone can understand it. If TaskPatrol encounters a potentially harmful program, it allows you to remove or quarantine it. Though the TaskPatrol Pro version offers features such as a BHO and Windows Manager, this stand-alone freeware program still provides helpful information that anyone can use to help protect his or her computer from malicious programs.Publisher's description

Version: TaskPatrol Personal 2
"Gives a ton of information about whats running on your computer"
Pros: Shows what tasks are running & how each task is tied to your computer. It also lets you search their online process library for a given task or you can Google that process. It also explains why it gives a process a particular rating & shows information about that process & where it's located. Excellent for determining if a dangerous process is legit or not. Very clean layout. Has a slight edge on Task Manager.

Pros: Easy to use, and very useful. I was able to get rid of a process that I had a hard time with.

Pros: By using this tool I can now identify the programs running on my computer much easier than before. The layout is very good and clear.
