This single-button demo won't take you much time to test. Despite the publisher's claim the trial isn't limited, Task Manager Fixer doesn't have the option to disable Task Manager. On the publisher's Web site, the program is touted as a way to gain access and block access to Task Manager. However, the lone button on the demo's compact interface includes only a single option to restore Task Manager.

Task Manager Fixer doesn't come with a Help file, but one isn't needed. If you can push a button, you can use this simple software. The program is supposed to restore access to Task Manager when it has been disabled by a virus or system administrator. We found it worked in most tests, although system administrators who have blocked access to Task Manager could also prevent users from installing the software.

This isn't a program you really need to have always on hand. If a virus attacks your system, this might help. Still, if you find yourself unable to access Task Manager, you'll have nothing to lose by trying this program.
