From Taggtool :Tagg is a file organization utility which locates your files based on keyword metadata you attach or tag on to your physical files. Use it to catalog your personal files as well as your media assets such as clip art, sound files or video clips.
Version 1.4 has improved search performance and memory consumption/object creation. Added Plugins information to Tagg Settings dialog. You can now view which plugins and versions are installed Click Settings -> Plugins to view details of all installed plugins. Added Print preview from search results screen.

Version: Tagg 1.4
"Very Promising but not ready for use"
Pros: A great idea, tags for the desktop. Acceptably fast.
Cons: Very cumbersome to rename and add/delete tags. Slows to a crawl when tagging large numbers of items such as a saved webpage and doesn't tell you what it's doing. So close to a great program.
