"simple, fast, efficient, Swiss Army Knife of video conv."
Pros: so many well integrated codecs;
Complete availability of all parameters;
Template capability; Batch processing to sleep at night;
Handles AVCHD nicely. Excellent encoders
Cons: The cut/Edit editor is not the best i know, forget it.
If MPEG is the base format ( from SD to HDV ) , use Mpeg video Wizard.
