It opens up to six simultaneous connections to news servers, downloads all file types, and supports downloading UUencode, Base64, and yEnc formats. TIFNY even handles large, cumbersome, multisegment music and video files, automatically downloading, combining, and cataloging them for you. Download files automatically or scan the headers from your favorite newsgroups and see a summary of what's available. Search headers by keyword or just pick and choose the files to download from individual newsgroups. Filter out unwanted files by author, organization, newsgroup, file type, cross-posting threshold, size, or keyword. Also, TIFNY remembers where it left off, saving you time and bandwidth. It has a built-in MP3 player, a built-in image viewer, and even a video player. A thumbnailer makes it easy to browse your files by directory, newsgroup, and file type.
