Version: T.A.N.K.S 0.9.2
"Nice graphics and concept, but interface isn't perfect"
Pros: It a game inspired by Battle city, though your tanks can move in any direction and their projectiles bounce from walls. Graphics are very clean and detailed, especially for a freeware game. The music is also fine. Enemy tanks are smart and use bounces to their advantage. I didn't even manage to win once.
Cons: First, the main menu of the game is overloaded with buttons and switches. Although it looks great, you can't see at first what you should click to start the game. Controlling the tank is hard. You have to press arrow keys to turn right/left and up/down to accelerate/move back. Since the sprites are small, you can't precisely see where you tank is currently looking at, and so your shots are not very accurate.
This game would be much friendlier if one could control the direction of the tank's turret and issue shoot order with the mouse, while the tank itself moved simply north when you press Up, south when you press Down, and the same for Right/Left.

Version: T.A.N.K.S 0.9.2
"It's an okay game...with okay graphics."
Pros: It may not be the best game but for what it is it does it well.
The graphics are fine for a top down tank game.
There are plenty of maps/options to play with.
Cons: I thought the tank battles were boring. The bullets would bounce around the screen. When you do hit a target it doesn't do much damage at all.
Overall there isn't anything worth coming back for.

Version: T.A.N.K.S 0.9.2
Pros: Ok to play. Only worth 3 stars though.
Cons: The creator could have put a little more effort into it. The tanks are sluggish and the balls bounce around until they hit something(always you). Not bad for it's size though.
