This organizational tool is helpful in managing large book collections, though a necessary component failed to operate properly in our tests. Systweak Book Organizer creates a detailed database of books, borrowers, and due dates. You can manually enter books, but the Internet search option is the way to go. Just enter a book title, author, or ISBN, and the program searches Amazon.com for a list of similar titles. After locating your book, simply click the title. Pertinent fields such as the author, publisher, ISBN, and publication date are automatically filled in to your database along with an image of the book's front cover. The application's interface resembles Windows Explorer and lets you manage lists based on borrowers, publishers, authors, and stores. Unfortunately, the print feature doesn't work but you can export book titles and lists to your hard drive in HTML or XML format for printing. Though casual book collectors could use Systweak Book Organizer, it's best suited for libraries, bookstores, and serious collectors.
