I don't like anything about it.

First off, I chose to download this program because of it's minimal size ~500kb but after it was saved to my HDD I launched the sspro.exe only to find that it wanted to download/install 3-4 other things (without telling what they were for) that ended up taking all night. I should have canceled it then but I didn't.
Second, after having restarted the computer each time it installed another unknown program/file, I ran SSPro and began to setup the settings... IIRC, I clicked on the second tab from the left and then I clicked on "Apply" and that's when the problems began... The little white warning box that usually precedes the "Blue Screen of Death" popped up repeatedly, followed each time by that blue screen, forcing all running programs to shutdown (including Explorer). I had no choice but to restart the computer, only to find that when it tried to automatically run itself during startup that the errors and blue screen started all over again.
The only way to uninstall the program is through a menu built into the program! How stupid is that?! Not having a backup plan by stashing a manual uninstall somewhere on your HDD, is a recipe for disaster.
Now I need to wipe the HDD and hope that it takes care of the problem... I am going to lose everything I had. My pictures, documents, everything... All gone!
My advice is to stay far, far, away from this program. I can't recommend any stealth key loggers, but if stealth isn't important to you (which it is to me), then "Home Key Logger" is a good program to use.
I really hate computers... Too much maintenance and repair work. Too much time wasted. This was the last thing I needed right now.

Easy to install. Ease of use. Quicker than another type of spy software I had once used. This program is quick in that when I bring up screenshots, say, it doesn't take a long time, it is quick.
Cons
It keeps on recording all the blackness when no one is on the computer but the computer is logged onto the person you are monitoring account.
Wish it would take screenshots sooner than every 1 minute. Would prefer at least every 30 seconds.
It is detected when you do a CTL ALT DLT and you can see the sspro in there. (under programs running)
Luckily my spouse hasn't noticed it yet.

Firstly, I love the fact that it monitors when you want it to...
Secondly, that my children and my husband can't access it, and that I can still have a say about when they do access the net, even when I'm not there physically.
And Third, there can be NO liess about what they've all been doing in my abscence
Cons
I didn't have any of the problems that others users have had in it making the whole system slow. I did however, defrag my whole computer after installation as I do with every new installation.
The only program that has ever detected it was Nortons and I followed the instructions provided by Golden Plains to put it on the exclusions list.
None of the other programs has even come close to detecting it, and I have been using different versions of this program now for about three years!!!

"A truly a great find!"

Look no further this is the one you want. From monitoring to blocking to emailing reports, I was very impressed with all its capabilities. No other program seemed to have all the features this one did (description doesn't do it justice). I expected a simple monitoring program but found much more. Installation was very quick and program worked smoothly and was quite stealthy. Worked great with both Firefox and Internet Explorer, even on secure webpages which most other monitoring programs didn't seem to do.

Installs easily. Seems full-featured, but not intuitive.
Cons
1. Couldn't get the email to work. The internal SMTP engine wouldn't work.
2. Most importantly, it didn't block anything with Firefox 2, a very common browser. Don't think for a second that your kid doesn't know how to install a different browser or P2P application! This software might be good enough for small children, but not useful as Internet blocking software.

Pros
A good and easy to use and configure application for operating system ADMINISTRATORS if their users can't see the program's directory and modify the application's files. You can access the main file from any shell path and it'll load up within seconds. The configuration window is a bit slow but seems organized. Uninstalling, well, the best way is to run the setup again but you can get help from help files. I'm not quite sure the screenshot system can capture DirectX/OpenGl windows.
Cons
Right at system files intall ss pro wanted to go out to the net. This is a MUST, you need Internet connection for the installation :(. It'll also go out at the end of the installation.
I had a look at the suggestion: rename the file. The user got the following easy ideas: check files created since she/he thinks there's a spy; check version, where user will find original file name; check file size.
I don't know how difficult to stop the application itself - the editor refered to a difficult or unknown process -, but i don't think it can defend it's configuration files.

the reports are... umm a little low quality .
don't put any icon, I try too much times to find the executable.
My antivirus detect it as spyware... afraid!
