From Bimesoft :SurfOffline is a convenient offline browser with an easy-to-use interface and navigation. It is capable of downloading up to 100 files simultaneously and can save any Web site to your hard drive completely or partially in minutes. Another important feature is a wizard like interface that enables the users to quickly set up downloading rules. Importantly, the program supports HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, proxy servers, CSS, and JavaScript parsing. Also, SurfOffline comes with support for HTTP and FTP authorization, sessions, and cookies. Program's built-in internal browser lets you download Web sites with Web forms that require authentication. Built-in HTTP server lets you share downloaded files with other computers via intranet.

Pros: It seems like a great idea to be able to save a website on to a hard drive in case of any future problems.

Summary: When trying to download a site, a nag screen pops up. I don't mind that as it's a demo, but it stops downloading at that point. So, I get one page and then nothing else. So if the full version is any good I've no way of telling. Also, there was no c... read more >>

"It's difficult to try out with such a limited demo."
Pros: It seems easy to use with the project wizard which allows you to select the max level you want to search.
Cons: It doesn't seem to navigate links within sites very well. I kept getting a LOT of "page not found" problems on just about every site. I know those pages are there because I frequent the sites quite often. One such site was http://us.php.net/soap.
Summary: I wouldn't buy this product simply because many sites I went to would not download anything but the main page. I want to be able to download reference sites so that I can work on my web applications offline while having decent on-line references av... read more >>
