The Atari masterpiece Breakout has gradually evolved during the years, most notably as the now-classic clone Arkanoid, which added shooting and various power-ups to the traditional brick-busting gameplay. Superball Arcade makes its mark on the genre with a combination of Breakout, pinball, a space shooter, and various boss levels. Though the graphics and sound don't enhance the experience much, the variety of game types mixes up the demanding gameplay nicely.
You collect various weapons, defenses, and other bonuses by hitting certain bricks, then catching the prizes as they fall. Using weapons or taking hits from others' weapons overheats your paddle, so you occasionally have to vent, which momentarily freezes the paddle. The demo version lets you play its 10 levels for 60 minutes total. Although Superball Arcade boasts about its variety of brick types, it's the mix of shooting action, pinball, and brick busting that sets this Breakout clone apart.

Version: Superball Arcade 5.2
Pros: Lots of weapons. Fun game play. Better than others in its class. Overall fun to play when you dont have anything better to do. Give this a shot.
Cons: Harder than others. Not my type of music.
