This free macro program is more sophisticated than it might at first appear. SuperKeys not only lets you reassign the function keys and speeds up typing using keyboard shortcuts, it also lets you fill in Web forms, open Web pages, and easily control applications. For example, SuperKeys will replace the TAB and ENTER editor codes in your replacement text and send out their actual key codes when you trigger your shortcut. This will enable the program to move to the next field in a Web form or submit information to an application. The Wait key allows you to insert the small pauses a program needs to bring up a new dialog box in the sequence of commands. In addition to plain text, you can insert the current date and time and even your favorite quote. SuperKeys didn't slow down our PC and took about 5MB of memory. Power users in particular should enjoy SuperKeys, and adventurous novices may find it useful, too, especially since it's now totally free.Publisher's description
From Vellosoft :With SuperKeys, just a couple keystrokes or the press of a function key can trigger any sequence of text you assign, sparing you the repetition of re-typing frequently entered phrases, passwords, signatures, and documents. Unlike other programs where you're limited to simple text, SuperKeys makes it easy to add control codes such as CTRL, ALT, and TAB, enabling you to trigger a command or a series of commands in any Windows program.
SuperKeys also supports Windows key commands in your shortcuts, allowing you to do things such as shutdown the system with a single keypress. Adding to superkeys' existing support for launching programs and opening documents from your shortcuts. Version 5.81 includes unspecified updates.

Version: SuperKeys 5.81
"Makes the list for favorite freeware"
Pros: Ease of use, lots of features, very minimal use of resources.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Summary: Downloaded this years back when it was on download.com's top-ten freeware picks and would probably put it on my own personal top-five list.

Version: SuperKeys 5.81
"Why can't they do this right?"
Pros: It's free and works like it says.
Cons: You have to make a macro key for everything.
I want to shorten typing not macro it.
Like typing Jon to type out Jonathan.
But you can't because Jonathan contains the word Jon and this will start a endless loop.Summary: Fix the endless loop problem and you got a great product.
