We love taking photos, but we have to admit that our images often end up languishing on our camera because we so hate the process of transferring them to our computer and processing them. SunlitGreen BatchBlitz Portable is a simple program that can make handling batches of images much less of a hassle.
The program's interface is plain, and we weren't sure what to do at first. Although BatchBlitz comes with a built-in Help file, we couldn't get any of its content to load. After a bit of exploration we figured the program out, and it turns out that it's quite simple to use. Four buttons along the side of the interface--Source, Output, Actions, and Preview--function as a sort of wizard that walks users through each step of the process. We selected the images we wanted to work with, chose an output location, and then selected the actions we wanted to perform. Processes included adding images (such as watermarks), adding text, adjusting contrast and levels, colorizing, cropping, desaturating, resizing, and rotating. Users can also have the program convert images to different formats and rename files. We selected the processes that we wanted, checked the preview to make sure that the results would be what we expected, and clicked Start. BatchBlitz quickly processed our images and deposited them in the desired output location. BatchBlitz also comes with a basic photo editor that lets users do more to fine-tune their images. Overall, BatchBlitz didn't offer anything that we hadn't already seen in numerous other programs, but we liked its simplicity and ease of use. The fact that both BatchBlitz and the photo editor are small enough to fit on a thumbdrive makes them a nice choice for basic photo editing and processing on the go.
SunlitGreen BatchBlitz Portable comes as a ZIP file. It's accessible after extraction with no need for installation.

BatchBlitz is a powerful and easy-to-use photo file categorizer, filter and batch editor. BatchBlitz enables you to categorize your photos by Exif/IPTC metadata. E.g. you can categorize your photos by the date they were taken, putting all photos in the same folder if they were taken on the same day. You can even pick out all photos rated 4 or 5 stars. BatchBlitz enables you to batch process your photos using customizable actions. You can save your action settings to a task file and reuse it later. Actions allow you to filter source files (using regular expressions, for example), rename and convert images, as well as add watermarks, resize/rotate canvas, apply automatic color corrections, etc. The instant preview will give you a better idea of the actual effects.
