Publisher's Description
From Alessandro Carta:
This is a small painting program especially that creates views of metallic surfaces. It will help you to draw a front view of the desired surface. Drawing a surface means to draw many lines at different colours in the same direction. The direction, the colour and the length of the lines can be changed during the drawing process.
The drawing itself is fully pattern oriented. This innovation is especially important for Web Designers and Game Developers who need access to metallic surfaces. Use this application only to generate some basic patterns that can be modified in other applications (like Photoshop) for best results.
Creating surfaces in a greyscale colour space: You can choose between two methods of painting the surface. The first method draws continuously three lines in three different colours. The second method draws continuously only one gradient line. The colour of the lines can be adjusted through the whole greyscale.
Creating surfaces in a RGB colour space: Each line can be subdivided with 16 moveable markers in 17 different regions. Each region will be filled with a gradient similar to the colour of the enclosing markers. Each painted line considers exactly these gradients. It is now possible to draw directly the complete area by pressing the OneShot- Button. The OneShot- Function is currently limited to horizontal lines.
Using the LFO as a modulating source for the line length: A special LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator) can be activated in order to change the length of the lines at real-time. Its frequency can be adjusted up to two Hertz. The generated Images can be saved as Bitmap File or exported in various formats if QuickTime Pro is installed.
Note: If you are wondering about the difference between the generated Images and Digital Noise, here is the answer: The only difference is a piece of control you get when using the Strichzeichner application.
What's new in this version:

- Gradients can be saved to Disk
